PING 2025

The “Physicists Inspiring the Next Generation: Exploring the Nuclear Matter” (PING 2025) virtual program consisted of a summer research experience with the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB). 

During the two weeks virtual weeks the students participated in:

-Higher Education Q&A

-Talent Show in collaboration with PAN

-FRIB Tour

-PING Workshop

-Attended the National Society of Black Physicists & National Society of Hispanic Physicists Conference

-Attended the American Physical Society's Division of Nuclear Physics Conference

-Explored the topics of:

  • Rutherford Scattering

  • Rare Isotope Radii

  • PYXIS Design & Analysis

  • PING Beamline at Western Michigan University

  • 19C Experiment: BluSteAl Support Design
